A deep maroon ajrakh-print cotton suit piece carrying a large cream leaf buti — a tall, feathered cypress motif set well apart, so the print reads bold rather than busy. It comes with an ivory cotton dupatta worked in rows of hand-kantha running stitch in red and indigo, scattered with small hand-worked diamonds, finished with a printed ajrakh border and handmade tassels.

Care: First wash separately in cold water — deep-dyed cotton releases a little colour at first. Mild detergent, no brushing, no wringing, no long soaking. Line-dry in shade. Iron on medium; press the dupatta from the reverse so the kantha stitching keeps its texture, and keep the iron off the tassels.
