A premium, understated pastel drape in Steel Blue Mangalagiri Pattu — a silk-cotton (sico) handloom from Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh — with a soft sheen, a crisp handloom feel and easy, breathable comfort.

The details

• Fabric: Mangalagiri Pattu — silk-cotton handloom, soft and light with a gentle sheen.
• Half & half shibori: Hand-dyed so one half stays white / off-white and melts into steel blue in a soft two-tone gradient. Because it is hand-dyed, no two pieces are identical — slight variation in the fade line is the hallmark of genuine shibori, not a defect.
• Border: Rich Mangalagiri 50K silver-toned zari border in the temple style (a dense, finely woven silver-coloured zari edge — silver-toned metallic thread, not solid silver).
• Blouse: Comes with a matching unstitched blouse piece in heavy pearl hand-work — a large central pearl elephant motif 🐘 with small scattered pearl butti dots for an all-over shimmer (hand-stitched, so beautifully artisanal and slightly irregular).

Care
Dry clean recommended, especially the first wash and to protect the pearl work. If you hand-wash later, wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent (hand-dyed shibori can bleed slightly on the first wash); never brush, wring or machine-wash; line-dry in shade. Store folded in a cotton or muslin bag (not plastic) and wrap the pearl motif in soft tissue so beads don't rub or pull. Iron on low on the reverse, away from the zari and pearls.
