The dupatta is the piece here: soft ivory cotton with elephants appliquéd on by hand in indigo-blue ajrakh, each one cut from printed cloth and stitched down individually, walking in a row down the length. The edge is finished with a blue scalloped ajrakh border. It's paired with an indigo ajrakh-print top in a scrolling paisley vine and a plain coordinating bottom.

Care: Gentle hand wash in cold water, separately for the first wash — indigo releases colour and you don't want it on the ivory. Mild detergent, no brushing, no wringing, no long soaking — the appliqué is stitched on and hard handling will loosen it. Line-dry in shade. Iron on medium from the reverse, going around the elephants rather than over them.
